God Most High, in your shadow may we abide.
Mortals try to conquer the world,
or bind themselves to would-be conquerors,
and in the end they always fail.
But we have seen what Jesus has done,
and our trust is in him,
and so in you, to be refuge, shelter,
and ultimate conqueror.

A touching prayer. Thank you. 'Shadow of the Almighty' is such a lovely phrase. I have always liked it.
