Hosanna to you, Lord Jesus;
hosanna in the highest heaven!
The life you died, you died to sin,
but the life you live, you live in God.
Forbid that I should refuse to let you in;
make me dead to sin and alive to God in you.
You have delivered my soul from death,
and my feet from falling, so that
I may walk before you,
in the light of life.

Ps. 56:13
For you have delivered my soul from death,
and my feet from falling,
so that I may walk before God
in the light of life.
Num. 20:21
Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through their territory; so Israel turned away from them.
Rom. 6:10-11
The death [Christ] died, he died to sin, once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Matt. 21:9
The crowds that went ahead of [Jesus] and that followed were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
This is a beautiful meditation. The one thing that would improve it is if it used the word 'forfend'. Forfend that I should refuse to let you in.
