II. Selections
Psalm 139:7
Where can I go from your spirit?
Or where can I flee from your presence?
Daniel 7:14b
His dominion is an everlasting dominion
that shall not pass away,
and his kingship is one
that shall never be destroyed.
2 Corinthians 3:5-6
Not that we are competent of ourselves to claim anything as coming from us; our competence is from God, who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of letter but of spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
John 12:36a
" ...While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become children of light." [ Jesus to the crowd]
III. Meditation: Your Spirit gives life
Your Spirit gives life; where can we go from it?
You are the sole source of our competence;
where can we flee from your presence? ;
Your dominion is an everlasting dominion,
and your kingship will never be destroyed,
but the opportunity you give us is temporal.
While we have your light,
help us by your light to see;
make us children of your light.
