O God, you are awesome in your deeds.
You have stretched out the heavens
and built the foundations of the earth.
You have claimed your people,
put words in our mouths, and
hidden us in the shadow of your hand.
You have prepared for us a city;
and to make us ready for it, you have
sent one in whom there is nothing false.
May we seek not our own glory,
but the glory of the one you sent,
whose life is the most awesome of your deeds.
