content and humble,
content and contrite in spirit,
trembling before your word.
God, let me be content—
content with what I have,
content to give ungrudgingly,
not calculating the cost.
God, let me be content—
so content that I am glad
in this day you have made,
in each new day you give me.

Ps. 118:24
This is the day that the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Isa. 66:2
All these things my hand has made,
and so all these things are mine,
                                    says the LORD.
But this is the one to whom I will look,
to the humble and contrite in spirit,
      who trembles at my word.
1 Tim. 6:6-8
Of course, there is great gain in godliness combined with contentment; for we brought nothing into the world, so that we can take nothing out of it; but if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these.
Mark 12:43-44
Then [Jesus] called his disciples and said to them, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the treasury. For all of them have contributed out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”
