Of Value, When We Die--June 3, 2011

We cannot pray as you prayed, Lord Jesus;
but open us enough to your will that we
can eat what you have set before us,
even if it be a scroll of bad news.

Whether wise or foolish, we shall die,
leaving behind prized possessions.
That is all right; our possessions
are not ultimately important.

Your grace and mercy in time of need
are of infinitely greater value;
and these we shall receive
as you have assured us.
