Your righteousness is
like the mighty mountains,
and your judgments
are like the great deep.
Even though they had
broken the sanctuary's rules of
cleanness, King
Hezekiah asked you to pardon all
his people who had
set their hearts to seek you.
Paul said that the widow
who remained unmarried,
if able to make that
decision, was more blessed.
We might well disagree
with that judgment,
but at least Paul
accepted the married.
There may come times
when we must judge;
but when we do, help
us never to forget
that the measure we
give in judging
is the measure we
shall receive.

But
Hezekiah prayed for [those who did not eat the passover as prescribed], saying,
"The good LORD pardon all who set their hearts to seek God, the LORD the
God of their ancestors, even though not in accordance with the sanctuary’s
rules of cleanness."

But
in my judgment [a widow] is more blessed if she remains as she is. And I think that I too have the Spirit of
God.
Matt. 7:1-2
"Do
not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgment you make you will be
judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. …"
