God, your people were
aliens in Egypt;
you are concerned for
the desolate,
that they have a home
to live in,
and for prisoners and
aliens,
that we should love
them
as ourselves and
treat
them like citizens.
But we put first
our own comfort and
happiness, forgetting
that
if we strive for your
kingdom
and your
righteousness, we will
be given all that we
truly need.
Make us worthy of
your call;
by your power fulfill
every
good desire and every
work of faith.
