God, be gracious to us
and bless us,
and make your face to
shine upon us,
that your way may be
known on earth,
your saving power among
all nations.
For you created all
things; by your
will they existed and
were created;
you are worthy to
receive glory
and honor and power.
Before you, who can be
righteous?
How can we be pure
before our Maker?
We can't be, but you
sent a poor carpenter,
rejected by his own, who
showed us the meaning
of purity and
righteousness. Help us to follow him.
