Lord God, the
Almighty,
your judgments are
true and just.
Let your steadfast
love be upon us,
even as we hope in
you.
Forgive us, we who
are bent over,
exultant that we live
secure, who
say to ourselves,
"We are,
and there is no one
else."
Lay your hands upon
us,
heal us of our self
absorption,
that we may stand up
straight
and begin praising
you.

that lived secure,
that said to itself,
"I am, and there is no one else"?
that lived secure,
that said to itself,
"I am, and there is no one else"?
