From heaven you
looked at the earth,
you heard the groans
of the prisoners,
and you set free
those doomed to die.
We are not our own--our bodies are
a gift from you,
bought with a price,
temples in which your
Spirit dwells.
O God, may our lives
be open and honest--
nothing is hidden
that will not be disclosed;
nothing is secret
that will not come to light.

Gen. 42:29-31
When [the brothers] came to their father Jacob in the land
of Canaan, they told him all that had happened to them, saying, "The
man, the lord of the land, spoke harshly to us, and charged us with spying on
the land. But we said to him, 'We are honest men, we are not spies.
…'"
1 Cor. 6:19-20
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy
Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your
