To the King and to the Lamb,
blessing and honor and glory
and might forever and ever.
Dear Lord, we ask you to be attentive
to our prayers as we revere your name,
and for success in serving you this day,
and for your mercy when we fall short.
But still more importantly, we ask for your help in
hearing your word to us, for your word runs swiftly,
and whenever we fail to understand it, or attend to it,
what you have sown in our hearts is snatched away.

let your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant, and to the prayer of
your servants who delight in revering your name. Give success to your servant today, and grant
him mercy in the sight of this man!"
Rev. 5:13
Then I heard
every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and
all that is in them, singing,
"To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might
forever and ever!"
"To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might
forever and ever!"
Matt. 13:19
"…When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not
understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in the heart;
this is what was sown on the path. …" [Jesus to his disciples]
