Our minds are hard to change, dear Lord.
We know what we want to believe,
and we believe it no matter what.
If the facts are written in letters
so large a runner could read them,
we still refuse to pay any attention;
a person risen from the dead could
not convince us we are wrong.
O God, whatever it takes,
awake our souls.

I will sing and make melody.
Awake,
my soul!

Then the LORD answered me and said:
Write the vision;
make it plain on tablets,
so that a runner may read it.
Write the vision;
make it plain on tablets,
so that a runner may read it.
James 2:22
You see that faith was active along with his works, and
faith was brought to completion by the works.

someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' He said to him,
'If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be
convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'" [Jesus, ending the parable of the rich man and
Lazarus]
