Lord Jesus,
Make me delight to do
your will;
place your law within
my heart.
For the oppressed,
may I seek justice;
may I work to defend
those who
have no one to plead
for them.
Your word inspired by
the Holy Spirit
let me receive with
joy; and Jesus, may
I never forget your
authority over my life.

seek justice,
rescue the oppressed,

plead for the widow.

And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for in spite
of persecution you received the word with joy inspired by the Holy Spirit, so
that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.
Luke 20:1-2
One day, as [Jesus] was teaching the people in the temple
and telling the good news, the chief priests and the scribes came with the elders
