Destruction, devastation, famine, and sword
of war all fall on the children of the world.
Loving God, send the Spirit of your Son
into our hearts, crying "Abba! Father!"
It is not fair for us to fill our bellies
with bread, leaving them crumbs.
May we not forget the needy,
nor let their hope perish.
