God of steadfast love,
you well know in our world
how many there are who
hurt and destroy;
you are aware how
little peace the world gives us.
Yet you have given us
Jesus, who promises
a different peace, peace
that is full of knowing you,
peace you prepare for
those who love you.
Our eyes have not
seen, our ears have not heard,
nor have our hearts
conceived what this is,
but we hope in you,
and trust in your holy name.
We will be glad in
you, and not be afraid.
Let your steadfast
love be upon us.

Ps. 33:21-22
Our heart is glad in [the LORD],
because we trust in his holy name.
Let your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us,
even as we hope in you.
because we trust in his holy name.
Let your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us,
even as we hope in you.
Isa. 11:9
They will not hurt or destroy
on all my holy mountain;
for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD
as the waters cover the sea.
on all my holy mountain;
for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD
as the waters cover the sea.
1 Cor. 2:9
But, as it is written,
"What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the human heart conceived,
what God has prepared for those who love him"…
"What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the human heart conceived,
what God has prepared for those who love him"…
John 14:27
"…Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do
not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do
not let them be afraid. …" [Jesus, to his disciples]
