[From Dec. 2, 2017]
Have mercy on us, Son
of David;
shepherd your people
with your staff.
You have been our
help; in the shadow
of your wings we sing
for joy.
Help us to serve you
with all the strength
that God supplies,
and through you
may God be glorified.

Matt. 20:30
There were two blind men sitting by the roadside. When they heard that Jesus was passing by,
they shouted, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!"
A fitting way to end the liturgical year. A prayer for mercy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, but I have to admit that I had forgotten that this was the end of the liturgical year! As to your earlier comment, I too am concerned if your comments are not appearing. I have never intentionally rejected anyone's, although sometimes I am slow in clicking "accept comment" because I am away from the Internet (as I have been for the last few days, when I post in advance).
