I linger,
uncertain. Like Lot the challenge
seems too great, and
I am mired in the past.
I want to wallow in
my failures, surrender to
despair, disregard
the work you are performing.
But you are
merciful. You seize me by the hand
and bring me out to
accept your forgiveness.
I will be glad and
exult in you;
I will sing praise to
your name;
I will trust that you
are faithful
in doing what you
have promised.
