Before the mountains, before the earth and our world,
from everlasting to everlasting, you are God,
our shade by day from the heat—
our shelter from the storm.
As for us, the day will come
when everything we have made,
and all the beauty we have created,
will be thrown down, and nothing left.
But that does not matter, nor does even death.
There is no cause to grieve, for everlasting
to everlasting, you are God, our hope
and our dwelling place.
