When our great plans come to nothing,
we become frustrated, Lord Jesus.
Grant that frustration leads to wisdom;
and that with wisdom we realize:
God’s hand is not too short to save,
nor is God’s ear too dull to hear.
By your grace, O Christ, make us strong;
but make us humble like a little child,
ready to let you guide our planning.
