Our heart is glad in you, God;
nursing babies praise your name.
The lion has roared; who will not fear?
Our God has spoken; who can but prophesy?
Make us attentive to the prophetic message,
for it is a lamp shining in a dark place,
and confirm your word within us,
until at last the day dawns and
the morning star rises
in our hearts.
Lectionary Readings

because we trust in his holy name.

The lion has roared;
who will not fear?
The Lord GOD has spoken;

So we have the prophetic message more fully confirmed. You will do well to be attentive to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
Matt. 21:16b
Jesus said to [the chief priests and scribes], “Yes; have you never read, ‘Out of the mouths of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise for yourself’?”
