Much the man who had been born blind did not know;
but one thing he knew with an undivided heart:
he had been blind, and now he could see.
Jacob was a rascal; he had cheated his own brother;
and in turn he had been cheated by his uncle;
one thing he knew: you cared for him.
When we have sinned against brothers and sisters
and the darkness has made us blind, teach us
to walk in your way, our heart undivided.
