We can tell how much you have done for us, O God--
can recite how you delivered us from hardships--
we can write beautiful metaphors full of truth
about you and about all who are mortal;
yet not all who hear us will accept it.
Even if the floods lifted up their
voices to tell the Good News,
not everyone would believe it.
Still, how can we fail to share it?
