Psalm 22:12-13
Many bulls encircle me,
strong bulls of Bashan surround me;
they open wide their mouths at me,
like a ravening and roaring lion.
Ezekiel 18:31a
Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed against me, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit!
Philippians 4:6
Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
John 17:15
“…I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one. … ” [Jesus’ prayer for his disciples]
III. Meditation
Many bulls encircle me,
their mouths wide open,
like roaring lions.
I am not asking you
to take me away from them,
but I ask your protection.
Some are of my own making,
transgressions I have committed
against you, against others.
Whatever their source,
give me a new heart, a new spirit
to cast away these strong bulls.
Make it a thankful heart,
one that trusts you enough to
make all my requests known to you.
