Every day we call on
you, O God.
Shut in, no escape,
eyes dim through sorrow,
we spread our hands
and call on you.
Day and night we cry
to you.
Will you not grant
justice?
Will your help be
long delayed?
Grant us patience in
our waiting,
that when suddenly
you come,
you will find us
faithful.
