God, you are the
strength of your people,
the saving refuge of
your anointed.
When you send them
out, God,
to remind the rulers
they
must rule with
justice--
sending them like
lambs
into the midst of
wolves--
and they suffer the
great ordeal,
then may your Lamb be
their Shepherd
to guide them to
springs of the water of life,
where you will wipe
away every tear from their eyes.

"…[The ones who have come out of the great ordeal] will
hunger no more, and thirst no more; the sun will not strike them, nor any

shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of the water of life, and God will
wipe away every tear from their eyes."
[One of the elders]
