God, you silence the
roaring of the seas,
the roaring of their
waves,
the tumult of the
peoples.
Quiet us, for you are
the Lord of Hosts,
and there is no need
to be afraid.
Quiet us, for your
mouth has spoken
and we would hear
what you
have to say.
Quiet us, that our
prayers may rise to you,
as the smoke of
burning incense
rises in the air.
Quiet us, and bless
us, that our eyes may see
some portion of what
you see for us--
a time of peace.
