Today I stumbled badly,
and I very nearly fell, Lord,
face down onto the pavement.
Thank you, God, for delivering my feet
from stumbling--from stumbling physically.
Every day I stumble spiritually;
pray deliver me from that, too.
Help me remember and be grateful,
not only to you for your forgiveness,
but also for kindness shown by others,
and for their forbearance and forgiveness
of my offenses. Help me pray for them, too.

ReplyDeleteOur steps are made firm by the Lord,
when he delights in our way;
though we stumble, we shall not fall headlong,
for the Lord holds us by the hand.
These are among my favorite verses.
Glad you are okay after your fall.
