[Explanation: My
archives on this blog go back to 2004, but my
journal entries precede
them. Today's is from Dec. 27, 2000.]
Lord, in your wisdom
you rejoice
over the world you have made.
As I bow before you
now,
let my words and my
thoughts
be acceptable to you,
my rock and
my redeemer.
Let also what I do
tomorrow be acceptable,
which is to say, let
me live in love
for you and for all
you have created.
To love you is to
keep your commandments.
Of my own efforts,
that would be impossible, but with
you to guide me, to
live within and through me,
keeping your
commandments would be not
a burden, but a joy. And then my
words and meditation would
become acceptable
to you.
