O Bread of God, I am still;
I am quiet in your presence.
Come down from heaven
and give life to my world.
Make me to understand—
I do not live by bread alone,
but by every word
that comes from you.
Fill me with knowledge
of your will for me,
so that I may bear fruit
that is pleasing to you.

Ps. 46:10a
“Be still, and know that I am God!…”
Deut. 8:3
[The LORD] humbled you by letting you hunger, then by feeding you with manna, with which neither you nor your ancestors were acquainted, in order to make you understand that one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.
Col. 1:9-10
For this reason, since the day we heard it, we have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may lead lives worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, as you bear fruit in every good work and as you grow in the knowledge of God.
John 6:33
“…For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” [Jesus, to his skeptics]
